Ideas for Group Outings?

We've received a good response so far to the member survey. If you haven't taken the survey, please take a few minutes to do so. If you didn't receive an invitation, it's because I didn't have your email address. Drop me a line and I'll send you one (the link from the website is waiting to be fixed, but an invitaion will work right away). The survey has indicated interest in group outings. Karen and I have a few ideas:

1) We all meet at the Palm Beach Zoo or the South Florida Science Museum.
2) The Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge - fishing, canoeing, birding, nature trails, etc.
3) A trip to the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center
4) John D. MacArthur State Park
5) There's even a possibility that we could get a group outing for an insect expedition with an entomologist.

Any other ideas folks have?

The response has been, well, underwhelming.

Come on, folks - open up those Mensan minds and come up with some ideas. The survey shows that people want group outings. Surely someone has a suggestion. Just making the suggestion doesn't obligate you to organize it, even if it does happen. Just want to do some brainstorming.

I'd love to get a group rate at a local small theatre, like Lake Worth Playhouse, for instance.

When was the last time we had a Scrabble contest?

How about a pot luck at a local park? Considering the current weather, I would prefer one with air conditioning, but one with a nice breeze would do

I like Molly's idea of meeting at a theatre.

I enjoy watching plays. I also do some acting and even write short plays from time to time. I have a short play being done (along witih seven others) in Boca in late July.
